Formal identification of young Brechin victim

Tayside Police can confirm that a 17-year-old man who died as a result of an incident in North Street, near to its junction with Mount Avenue, Montrose, Angus, at about 11.15pm on Thursday, April 24, 2008, has been formally identified.
He has been named as Adam Reid Paton, of Montrose Street, Brechin, Angus.

A 16-year-old male, who resides in Arbroath, Angus, has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Whilst issuing a photograph of the deceased, the family of Adam Paton has requested that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.
