Hudsons 3, Park Bar 0

AS expected Hudsons won their Scottish Cup tie against an "under repair" Park bar side at the weekend.
But Park Bar certainly gave their all against a Hudsons side who have a settled, tight squad of good players.
The match was played in atrocious conditions at the Public Park but both teams deserved credit for making it a decent cup tie in which some good passing was made on a glue-pot pitch.
Good sides take full advantage of mistakes and Hudsons did so to lead 2-0 at half time. First, Andrew Ferguson latched onto a short pass back to round Rennie and score on 26 minutes.
Shortly before the break Jamie Young made it two when he wasn't picked up at a corner, and his text-book downward header bounced into the net.
With Hudsons reasonably comfortable the Park Bar players had a real go in the second half, driven on by Ry McIntosh.
However, despite pushing on there were few chances for either sides. That was, until the final minute, when Barry McDonald capped a good performance by bursting through from defence before rolling the ball past Lee Rennie, who had moments earlier made the save of the match from Young.
So it is Hudsons who have made round three after a derby match which saw no bookings in a match which was played and refereed in completely the right manner.
Hudsons now have a free week this Sunday, while the Park Bar hope to get back on track with a home league game against Marykirk.
Kick off is on Sunday at 10.45am/. The players should meet at 10am.
Training for the Park Bar will be held at the leisure centre at 6.30pm on Thursday.
