BRECHIN City completed will complete a signing double on Tuesday, after securing the services of 19 year old former Ipswich Town midfield player, Ian Nimmo, Michael O'Neill has also shaken hands on a deal with Spartans centre -half, John Seeley.

I
an, who hails from Boness, played in Ipswich's Academy and Reserve teams and also had a spell playing in non-league football down south before returning home.

Having played against Hibernian and in the second half against Partick Thistle on Saturday, Michael 'Neill is delighted to the services of a youngster whom he feels shows a lot of promise.

He is 19 years of age, but he has great entusiasm and he can play in midfield or in a more defensive role," said the manager.

"He has done enough in the time he has been in with us to secure a contract and we are delighted to get him fixed up."

"Seeley did really well against partick Thistle again, as everyone could see who was at the game and we are delighted to secure his services, as there are one or two other clubs who were keen on him.

"In the next week and I am also talking to a front player, whom we have been unable top get in for pre-season, but whom all the coaching staff feel could make a real difference to our prospects this season.

"The player in question has offeres from elsewhere, but I am still quite hopeful that we can tie up a deal to bring him in, as he is exatly the sort of player we are looking for.

"We also want to have another look at a couple of the "Trialists" we had out on Saturday and will hopefully have the opportunity to do that at Forfar again and at Montrose on Friday night."

The manager was delighted to pick up another excellent result on Saturday as City defeated a strong Partick Thistle side by a goal to nil.

"It was another good work out for us, you can rever too much into these games, where you win or lose, but in terms of our fitness, organisation and preparation, we are delighted. There was some very complimentary comments from the Thistle coaching staff.

"Overall, I thought we did enough in the second half to be worth a win by a greater margin. However, everyone got a run again and that's what is most important.

"We will need to work just as hard in our remaing pre-season fixtures, as the lads are well aware there will be a bit of competition for places.

"The only blow we have received is that Gary Fusco has picked up a fracture in our pre-season game at Hibs and he will be out for around four weeks.

"However, we have enough cover in Gary's position, but I am still trying to strengthen considerably elsewhere."
