PLANS for a 14-house development in Brechin's Park Road have temporarily been put on hold after councillors deferred a decision on the site until a future date.
The project had been recommended for conditional approval ahead of last week's meeting of the council's development standards committee.
However, a decision on the site has been put back once more to allow for further investigation.
The site is located to the south of Park Road and just over 100 metres to the east of the Caledonian Railway buildings.
The are is relatively flat but is some four to five metres higher than the railway and platforms which run next to its southern boundary.
Under the plans the applicant is hoping to convert the granary building on site into five houses with a further nine houses planned for the remainder of the site.
